Welcome to the Wallowa Valley Community Ice Rink website!
Feb. 10 update: Check the Wallowa Valley Community Ice Rink Facebook page for open/closure information.
Scheduling change: There will be no official “Youth Hockey” teaching clinics on Fridays this season, as there are so few Fridays that do not fall on a holiday or a day when kids are in school. But, that means it is “Open Skating” all day every Friday!
The rink is located at the Enterprise City Park in downtown Enterprise. Come join us for hockey, open skating, or one of our special events on this great community-run, natural ice rink. Skating is free, though donations are appreciated. Our schedule is available in Microsoft Word.
The rink season typically runs from mid December through February, weather permitting.
Please check the Wallowa Valley Community Ice Rink page on Facebook to verify that the rink is open before coming down.
Ice skates can be rented at R’s Consignments in downtown Enterprise, at the corner of River & Main St. The store is open Tues-Sat from 10am-5pm.
1. Head injuries are common on hard ice surfaces. Helmets are recommended, especially for beginner skaters. Helmets are required for all hockey activities.
2. Certain weather conditions can create treacherous ice conditions, including cracks in the ice. Skaters use the rink at their own risk and should exercise due care and caution at all times.
3. Supervision of kids is a parent responsibility. Please do not drop off and leave kids that may need supervision.
“Kids on Ice are Cool”
Kids on Ice are Cool is an ice skate lease program providing skates for local 2-14 year-old kids. For $20 kids get a pair of hockey or figure skates that they get use for the whole season. This provides kids with affordable skates through their growing years without having to buy a new pair every year as their feet grow. For information email info@

Volunteers are vital to the rink and are always appreciated. Help is needed during rink setup, takedown, teaching skating or hockey skills, organizing youth hockey, other events and new activities (shuffleboard-on-ice anyone?), opening & closing the rink, shoveling, etc. We also welcome new members to join us on the ice rink committee which overseas management of the rink. If you’re game to help please let us know by emailing us.
